  • Abstract: Not many examples of manifolds of positive or even of non-negative sectional curvature are known. I will present some possible constructions of 7-manifolds with non-negative curvature. If these are sufficiently simple, it is possible to determine their diffeomorphism types. I will give an overview about classification results and exhibit ways of computing the relevant diffeomorphism invariants. As a result, the construction above yields metrics of non-negative sectional curvature on all topological 7-spheres.
